RCM Training
The entry level training that we offer for RCM is a 3-day course; we also offer a 10-day course for RCM facilitators and a 1-day RCM Awareness Session (primarily targeted at senior managers or those on the periphery of an RCM project).
The majority of courses we conduct are in-house to our clients. We do occasionally conduct 'public' courses if there is sufficient demand; from time-to-time, we also syndicate courses between clients. (Syndicated courses are strictly subject to agreement by the host client.)
Contract Facilitation
Applying RCM correctly involves an ‘RCM Analysis Group’ working under the guidance of an RCM Facilitator. The ‘RCM Analysis Group’ is made up of people who know the equipment best whereas the facilitator must have a very firm grasp of the RCM approach and how it is applied. The efficacy of the resulting RCM analysis rests heavily on the RCM Facilitator’s shoulders.
Demand for Mutual Consultants to act as Contract Facilitators rose significantly in the early 2000s and over the years we have helped clients in a wide range of industry sectors and have facilitated hundreds of RCM analyses (including many large and complex assets).

Structured Design Scrutiny
Structured Design Scrutiny (SDS) is an approach applied at the design stage for highlighting design weaknesses in all types of plant and equipment. It may be applied at the concept or detail-design stage to help ensure that design weaknesses are identified before the design "leaves the drawing board".
It "dovetails" perfectly with RCM so after applying SDS on some new equipment project, 80% of the RCM analysis for it is already done.
Rationalisation and Balancing
Rationalisation and Balancing (RaB) involves packaging a list of maintenance tasks for an asset into a maintenance schedule which is optimised for work content and which contains a minimum of peaks and troughs over time.
Our RaB software works hand-in-hand with our RCM software, enabling you to package the maintenance tasks that were output from a series of RCM analyses in the most efficient way.
